You Can Pray And Still Be Very Wrong

Here’s William Jennings Bryan, about 100 years ago. He’s rejecting the idea that because a man is rich, powerful, and a faithful churchgoer his behavior should be automatically honored and imitated.

It is not necessary that all Christian people shall sanction the Rockefeller method of making money merely because Rockefeller prays.

  • To me it is like two kinds of snow, “Make me whiter than snowâ€? vs. “New York yellow snowâ€?

I think prayer is much like the comparing these type of snow. If you are presenting anything before the Lord, it has to be genuine and completely free of any transgression. I remember when I used to pray for materialistic things in hopes I could be better in the name of “image. Today, when I pray to my ultimate beloved God in the name of our glorious savoir, I prepare to first address where my prayer are to be address—to my Heavenly father and my Lord Jesus, than I proceed with gratitude and eventually follow up with others first and lastly my part in humble request. I believe that in order to pray, we have to have the attitude of a God—it includes “EVERYONE.

There is a song written by Mercy Me- “I can only imagine that may pinpoint what I am trying to transmit. If you can imagine the Lord standing before you and watching you pray, what would you say and how would you feel? I believe prayer should be as if we were talking to the Lord in person. Read the lyrics and think of it before your next prayer, I know you will feel the difference whether you are indeed praying wrong? I think prayer should be saturated with…

    1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 (KJV)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE- BY MERCY ME

“I can only imagine what it will be like, when I walk by Your side…
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!
I can only imagine. I can only imagine.
Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing ‘Hallelujah!’? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myself standing in the Son!
I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
Yeah! I can only imagine!
Yeah! I can only imagine!
I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!! Only imagine!!!
    I can only imagine.
I can only imagine, when all I do is forever, forever worship You!
    I can only imagine.”
